Delta Electronics has introduced the ADP-240KB, a 240-watt USB-C power adapter that aligns with the USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) 3.1 standard. This release marks a significant advancement in high-capacity charging solutions, catering to devices that demand substantial power input.
The ADP-240KB is designed to deliver a range of output voltages, including 5V, 9V, 15V, 20V, 28V, 36V, and 48V, providing versatility for various applications. Its compact dimensions of 162 x 72 x 23 mm make it suitable for environments where space is limited. The adapter features a universal AC input voltage range of 90 to 264V, ensuring compatibility with global power standards. Additionally, it boasts high efficiency, reaching up to 88% at higher output voltages, which contributes to energy savings and reduced heat generation.
Safety and performance are key aspects of the ADP-240KB. The adapter includes protections against overcurrent, overvoltage, and short circuits, enhancing its reliability in various operating conditions. It also supports a peak load capacity, allowing it to handle power surges up to twice its rated load for short durations. This feature is particularly beneficial for devices with high inrush currents at startup.
Currently, the ADP-240KB is available through distributors such as Mouser Electronics, priced at approximately $126.37.
