Teardown of SHARGE 5000mAh Flow Mini Power Bank (SP012)
ChargerLAB had introduced a mini power bank from SHARGE before, the name is SHARGE 5000mAh Flow Mini Power Bank. It comes with a built-in USB-C cable and two interchangeable connectors. And this time, let's take a look at the internal components and structure of this mini-power bank.
The SHARGE logo, product appearance, and other information are printed on the front of the box.
All specs info are on the back of the box. We'll talk about it later.
The package included the power bank, interchangeable connectors, and some documents.
The ChargerLAB POWER-Z MF001 shows that the Lightning connector is unofficial.
It has a small size and adopts a double-case design. The inner case is sprayed with silver metallic paint and the outer case is transparent.
There is a SHARGE logo, four indicator lights, and a power button on the front.
The indicator light lights up white when turned on.
Model is SP012. The battery capacity is 5000mAh. And the energy is about 18.25Wh. The USB-C1 can support 12W of input and output power. And the USB-C2 can output at 12W. The maximum charging power is 12W when using two ports simultaneously.
Not only does it have a built-in cable but it also has interchangeable connectors.
The dual USB-C interchangeable connector is on the power bank.
And it also has a USB-C to Lightning interchangeable connector that can charge the old iPhone. It has a protective cover.
The inside is a regular USB-C port.
There is a groove for fixing the built-in cable.
The built-in cable can be used as a lanyard when not charging.
It has passed CE, PSE, and UKCA certifications.
The length of it is about 77 mm (3.03 inches).
The height is about 33 mm (1.3 inches).
The width is about 25 mm (0.98 inches).
This is how it looks like in my hand, which is pretty small.
And the weight is 99 g (3.49 oz).
The ChargerLAB POWER-Z KM003C shows that the USB-C1 supports DCP, SAM 2A, and Apple 2.4A charging protocols.
The USB-C2 port supports the same protocols as the USB-C1.
It’s time to take it apart to see its internal components.
Start by opening the case.
Here is the inside of the power button.
The 21700 battery is fixed to the case with glue and adopts thermistor to detect the temperature.

The 21700 battery is connected with wires.
The positive and negative poles of the battery are insulated by barley papers.
The battery is from EVE. Model is INR21700/50E. 5Ah.
There is the alloy inductor, power IC, and VBUS MOSFET on the front of the PCBA module.
The battery protection chip, MCU, and thermistor are on the back of the PCBA module.
The power IC is from iSmartWare, and it is an all-in-one chip specially designed for the USB-C power bank. It supports fast charging of USB-A+Micro USB+USB-C, and Lightning ports. And it integrates 2.4A high-efficiency switch-mode charging and 2.4A synchronous boost output. Model is SW6003.
Here is all the information about the Ismartware SW6003.
The alloy inductor is reinforced with red glue. 1μH.
The sampling resistor is used to detect the output current. 10mΩ.
Two VBUS MOSFETs are marked with 307C.
Here are the four LED indicator lights.
The integration battery protection chip is marked with MMGOK.
Here is the SMD power detection button.
This is the thermistor for battery temperature detection.
There is the MCU.
The plastic sheet in the USB-C socket is white.
