Introduction

Focuse on next-generation portable charging and power supply services, CUKTECH offers a wide range of products, including power banks and chargers. One of its popular products is the CUKTECH No.20 PD3.1 Power Bank 25000mAh 210W, which is designed to supercharge your MacBook Pro and other devices. And we did a teardown video for it, you can click here to check it out.

However, despite the early launch of PD3.1-supported power banks, their chargers had yet to equip this latest charging standard. In December, CUKTECH addressed this gap by releasing its first 140W PD3.1 charger, filling this void. ChargerLAB promptly acquired this product, and here, we provide a brief overview, with more comprehensive teardown and review videos to follow.

In terms of port configuration, the CUKTECH 140W GaN charger is equipped with four output ports in a 3C1A setup, favoring multiple USB-C ports that suit today's diverse electronic devices. Both blue USB-C1/C2 ports support the PD3.1 fast charging standard, delivering a maximum of 140W rapid charging independently. Users do not need to memorize specific specs, as both ports perform identically, simplifying usage. USB-C3/A1 supports 33W multi-protocol fast charging. For multi-device charging, it accommodates power configurations like 100W+33W, 65W+45W, 45W+33W+33W, enabling simultaneous charging of up to four devices.

PD3.1 140W – Fulfilling MacBook Pro Requirements

This charger incorporates the essential 28V5A extended voltage value necessary for full-power charging of the MacBook Pro 16". Additionally, it is backward compatible with the common PD3.0 fast charging standard. Both USB-C1 and USB-C2 ports offer voltage values of 20V5A, 15V3A, 12V3A, 9V3A, 5V3A, supporting two sets of PPS: 5-11V5A and 5-20V3A.

Excellent Compatibility with Xiaomi Proprietary Protocol, PPS

CUKTECH, closely associated with Xiaomi, benefits from an inherent advantage concerning Xiaomi's proprietary protocol. Its USB-C1/C2 ports support mi TurboCharge 120W protocol, charging the Xiaomi 14 Pro in just 18 minutes. Moreover, CUKTECH's Adapt Charge, developed in-house, boasts compatibility with mainstream devices, supporting various fast charging protocols like PPS, PD, QC, AFC, FCP, catering to devices from Samsung, Apple, OnePlus, and more.
