Recent teardowns by ChargerLAB reveal that the SW6201S multi-protocol bidirectional fast-charging power bank SoC from iSmartWare has been widely adopted by tier-one global consumer electronics brands including BYD, Honor Choice, JOWAY, Transsion Infinix, and Pisen.

Designed specifically for single-cell lithium battery (including standard and semi-solid) power banks and portable power stations, the SW6201S packs an unparalleled level of system integration. It combines switching charge management, synchronous boost, extensive fast-charge protocols, high-precision fuel gauging, and LED/digital tube display drivers into a single chip. Boasting an ultra-streamlined peripheral BOM and an outstanding 96% charge-discharge efficiency, this SoC shatters traditional portable power limitations—powering everything from sleek 3020mAh magnetic snap-on accessories to 10000mAh 22.5W rotating-stand wireless power banks.

The SW6201S delivers top-tier performance across protocol compatibility and system-level integration. On the input side, it supports up to 5A switching charge currents, accommodates 4.2V to 4.5V battery chemistries, and features built-in JEITA compliance alongside thermal loop protection. On the output side, it integrates a synchronous boost converter capable of 22.5W max output, perfectly supporting auto-load detection, light-load sensing, and low-current modes for wearables like TWS earbuds. Protocol support is incredibly robust: the wired input handles PD3.0, PD2.0, AFC, FCP, SCP, and PE1.1, while the output further adds PPS, QC3.0, high-voltage SCP, and SFCP. Integrated Type-C Try.SRC logic and BC1.2 modules ensure seamless multi-protocol handshaking across the entire link. Crucially, in complex devices like magnetic wireless or stand-based power banks, the SW6201S leverages its internal 12-bit ADC and coulomb counter to precisely manage bidirectional wired negotiations, power monitoring, and system scheduling. By flawlessly pairing with standalone wireless transmitter ICs, it enables 7.5W or 15W wireless output while reusing the high-integration wired platform, saving critical PCB real estate and BOM costs.
