Introduction

A few months ago, we did a teardown and review video of the Anker 3-in-1 MagSafe charging cube, respectively. That device combines three wireless charging areas in a very compact size, allowing you to simultaneously power your iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch, making it extremely convenient. However, its price of $150 is quite expensive. Today, we discovered a similar device - the ISDT Zip 3-in-1 MagSafe charger, which replicates most of the functions of the Anker model and costs only about one-third of its price. Let's take a look!

It features a white square design, supporting charging for multiple devices simultaneously. Internally, it employs stacking technology and incorporates the popular GaN (Gallium Nitride) technology, resulting in size of 64.5 x 64.5 x 62.6mm (2.54 x 2.54 x 2.46 inches) and a weight of about 290g. For comparison, the Anker model measures 64 x 60 x 60mm (2.52 x 2.36 x 2.36 inches), with minimal differences.

Unlike most wireless chargers, the ISDT Zip 3-in-1 MagSafe charger employs an integrated power adapter solution, eliminating the need for an additional charger. A common two-pin power cord is all that's required, supporting an input voltage of 100-240V for worldwide use.

The top wireless charging pad includes strong magnets compatible with iPhone 15/14/13/12 series phones, automatically aligning with the coil for wireless charging, providing a maximum of 14.5W. The pad supports a 70° lift and 360° rotation, usable in both landscape and portrait orientations, making it convenient for users to charge their phones while using them.

Additionally, to enhance the wireless charging experience, it innovatively integrates an active cooling system. An intelligent silent fan actively cools the phone and wireless charging module, maintaining longer high-power charging periods and faster charging speeds.

They've also designed an app called ISDLink for this product. Through it, users can view real-time power consumption for each module of the charger on their phone and can switch the intelligent active cooling system on or off as needed, keeping track of the charger and device statuses anytime, anywhere.

In summary, the ISDT Zip 3-in-1 MagSafe charger offers a relatively affordable price for what theoretically provides a good all-in-one wireless charging experience. With only a common power cord needed for charging and the addition of GaN, it delivers high-power output despite its compact size. Furthermore, the smart connectivity feature of the app allows users to monitor the charging status on their phones in real-time.
