Youwang Unveils YW6599: A High-Efficiency Controller for LLC Resonant Power

Aiming at the mid-to-high power segment, Hangzhou Youwang’s new YW6599 is a dedicated half-bridge controller for adapters and desktop power supplies. It brings high-frequency efficiency and sophisticated energy-saving logic to domestic power designs.

The YW6599 handles up to 500kHz operation with a precision 50% duty cycle. With an integrated bootstrap diode and non-linear soft-start, it simplifies peripheral design while eliminating voltage spikes. The intelligent light-load burst mode and PFC-linked shutdown integration drastically reduce idle power consumption.

Safety is locked down by dual-stage overcurrent protection and a dedicated DIS pin for comprehensive thermal and over-voltage safeguards. Offered in both DIP-16 and SOP-16 packages, it provides designers with the flexibility needed for high-density resonant power architectures.
