The YX2265 controller is capable of handling input and output voltages up to 65V, making it suitable for high-voltage applications like solar panels, where open-circuit voltages can exceed 60V, and battery systems with peak voltages up to 55V. One of its standout features is its ability to operate at high frequencies (up to 3MHz), which allows for smaller inductors and a more compact system design. Additionally, it is capable of directly driving gallium nitride (GaN) power tubes, improving overall efficiency and performance.

For solar energy systems, the YX2265 excels in Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) applications. The controller allows for flexible current sampling configurations, with the ability to sample both input and output currents. Real-time current monitoring through the ISMON pin helps ensure that solar panels operate at their maximum efficiency, while the ability to adjust the input average current via the ICTRL pin facilitates quick MPPT algorithm adjustments.

Primechip has designed the YX2265 to simplify system designs and reduce costs. By integrating multiple functions that would typically require separate components, the YX2265 minimizes complexity in the peripheral circuitry, resulting in lower system costs and reduced design time. Additionally, the controller offers robust protection features such as under-voltage lock-out (UVLO), soft start, and external loop compensation, ensuring reliable and safe operation across a wide range of applications.

  • Model: YX2265 (Single-direction CC/CV)
  • Input/Output Voltage: 3.5V to 65V
  • Output Voltage: 2V to 65V
  • Operating Frequency: 50KHz to 3MHz
  • Features: Constant current and voltage control, programmable inductance, input and output current limiting, current monitoring (ISMON), frequency jittering to reduce system EMI, parallel operation and external clock synchronization, integrated 1.8V high precision reference, under-voltage lock-out protection, external loop compensation, soft start, and power-good indicator.
  • Package: 32-pin moisture-resistant QFN package

With the release of the YX2265, Primechip continues to push the boundaries of energy management technology, offering high-performance solutions for solar power and battery charging applications.
