Powerful & Smart | Unveiling the HAGiBiS 200W GaN 5-in-1 Desktop Charger

Introduction

As GaN technology becomes more widespread, high-power multi-port chargers have seen effective size reductions and gradual price drops, leading more people to prefer these over multiple single-port chargers. However, many users have encountered a common issue with most multi-port chargers: when adding or removing devices for charging, the power allocation among the ports needs to be readjusted, resulting in disconnections.

Nevertheless, there are multi-port chargers available in the market that do not face this disconnection problem. One such example is the highly reputed Apple 35W compact charger. Another one worth mentioning is the HAGiBiS 200W GaN 5-in-1 Desktop Charger, which boasts a substantial 200W power, 3 USB-C and 2 USB-A ports, an LCD display, and of course, a technology that avoids disconnections during usage.

Just as described, the HAGiBiS 200W GaN 5-in-1 Desktop Charger is designed to sit on a desk. Its separated design involves a three-hole input on the main body, connecting to a power source through a cable, extending the charger conveniently onto the desktop. Supporting a voltage input range of 100-240V, it can be used in most countries and regions around the world.

Designed for desktop charging, this charger includes a base that enables vertical positioning, reducing its desk space usage. Moreover, this base is equipped with slots on either side, providing convenient storage for small items such as USB drives, SD cards, and USB-C adapters. Additionally, it serves as a versatile stand, offering support for smartphones or tablets.

In addition to its primary charging capabilities, the HAGiBiS 200W 5-in-1 charger goes further by incorporating an LCD display on its side. This display provides simultaneous monitoring of voltage, current, and power for each port, alongside the aggregate power output. This feature is akin to having five mini ChargerLAB POWER-Z KM003Cs integrated into one unit, highlighting its innovative design and functionality.

In terms of performance, although the charger is named 200W, it is unfortunate that it only supports PD3.0 charging. Among its 3 USB-C and 2 USB-A outputs, the C1/C2/C3 ports individually support 100W fast charging, with fixed PDOs of 5V3A / 9V3A / 12V3A / 15V3A / 20V5A and a wide-range PPS of 3.3-21V5A, offering superior fast charging for charge pump-enabled phones. The A1/A2 ports are designed for shared circuitry, each supporting 22.5W fast charging when used separately.

Regarding simultaneous charging of multiple devices, according to HAGiBiS, the charger's three USB-C ports employ dynamic power adjustment to prevent disconnections (the USB-A ports still face disconnection due to shared circuitry). This can effectively avoiding re-negotiation of PDOs (Power Data Objects) that lead to interruptions in charging, enhancing a more user-friendly experience when charging multiple devices.

Looking at its power allocation strategy, it supports dual 100W fast charging for two devices simultaneously, as well as various other power distribution strategies like 100W + 65W + 30W, 100W + 65W + 20W + 5V3A, etc. It is compatible with mainstream fast-charging protocols such as PD3.0, PPS, SCP, and FCP.

Summary of ChargerLAB

To sum it up, the HAGiBiS 200W GaN 5-in-1 Desktop Charger is a high-power multi-port charger with a total output power of 200W, featuring 3 USB-C and 2 USB-A ports. Each USB-C port individually supports a maximum power of 100W and can even simultaneously fast charge two laptops at 100W, showcasing its exceptional capability. Additionally, it integrates five power meters on its side, displaying the voltage, current, power for each port, and the total power, allowing users to easily monitor the charging status of their devices.

In terms of details, it possesses a technology that prevents disconnections, ensuring that the charging status of devices connected to USB-C ports remains unaffected by plug-ins or unplugging of other ports, significantly improving the experience of charging multiple devices simultaneously.
