As a leading domestic provider of new energy battery systems, CEGN continues to push the envelope in high-performance cylindrical cells with its latest high-spec offering: the INR21700S-60P 21700 battery.

Delivering a nominal 6000mAh capacity and 21.6Wh of energy, this cell packs exceptional electro-chemical performance, supporting up to 12A continuous charging and 60A continuous discharging (with an 80°C thermal cutoff).

Dianchi subjected this cell to rigorous laboratory trials, evaluating its physical build, multi-rate charge/discharge profiles, internal resistance, and thermal behavior under heavy loads. The resulting data serves as a comprehensive benchmark for electric mobility, telecom storage, and high-end industrial deployment.

The robust performance of the CEGN INR21700S-60P comes down to its refined internal architecture and advanced manufacturing. Wrapped in a cyan heat-shrink sleeve, it measures approximately 70.6mm × 21.4mm and weighs in at 69.2g.

The positive terminal features a flat design with three pressure-relief vents, while the negative end utilizes an anti-corrosion anodized finish. Its standout engineering feature is the adoption of multi-tab winding. By placing multiple current collectors across the positive and negative electrodes, CEGN drastically shortens internal current paths, lowering DC internal resistance and mitigating polarization-induced heat during high-rate draws.

Test results show that internal resistance at both full (4.2V) and depleted (2.5V) states sits between 3.3mΩ and 3.7mΩ—well outperforming the 4.5mΩ rating. For charging, it seamlessly handles 2C (12A) high-current input and has passed the ChargerLAB "2050" fast-charge protocol, hitting 50% capacity in just 16 minutes and a full charge in 41 minutes.

Under punishing discharge regimens ranging from 0.2C up to 5C (30A) and 40A, delivered energy stays steadily above 20Wh across all levels. Even when subjected to a brutal 40A continuous limit draw for 7 minutes, surface transient temperature spikes are restrained at 87.8°C—showcasing a high-rate current tolerance and thermal safety margin rarely seen in such high-capacity cells.

Thermodynamic and electrical testing proves that the CEGN INR21700S-60P strikes a perfect balance between a massive 6000mAh volumetric density and heavy-duty power delivery. Consistent energy retention, peak power supporting up to 40A continuous (and 160A pulse) discharge, minimal internal resistance, and low thermal buildup highlight the engineering maturity of domestic cylindrical manufacturing. As multi-tab large-format cylindrical cells scale into premium power tools, portable outdoor stations, and lightweight powertrains, this cell is poised to drive the high-power energy ecosystem toward greater energy density and absolute safety.
