Dianchi has learned that Dongteng is making waves with the official release of the NC18650-20XPL full-tab cylindrical lithium-ion cell.
Sticking to the classic 18650 footprint, it packs a 2000mAh capacity, 3.7V nominal voltage, and 7.4Wh energy into a compact frame. Engineered as a lightweight yet high-performance contender in Dongteng's full-tab lineup, the NC18650-20XPL delivers a punchy 10C continuous discharge (20A max) and a 50A/1s pulse burst. Backed by solid cycle life and stellar safety credentials, it's tailored directly for high-drain flashlights, mid-tier power tools, and portable energy gear.
The magic behind the NC18650-20XPL lies in its full-tab (Full-Tab) structural overhaul. Old-school tab designs force electrons through a long lateral bottleneck, racking up resistance.
By turning the entire electrode edge into a collector welded straight to the casing and cap, Dongteng shrinks the conduction path from centimeters to mere millimeters. Internal resistance plummets to ≤ 9mΩ, triggering a virtuous cycle of lower heat, less energy waste, and cooler high-amp operation.
Durability is equally tough: it holds over 80% capacity after 300 cycles at 1A/20A or 250 cycles at 2A/20A. Aesthetically, it wears a flat-top nickel-plated steel jacket wrapped in gray heat-shrink, sporting five top-vent holes.
