“BPS has officially launched the BPD93136 – a 16-phase multi-phase buck digital PWM controller designed in compliance with NVIDIA OpenVReg 16 for dual-rail applications, and the BPD93204 – a 4-phase multiphase buck PWMVID digital controller designed in compliance with NVIDIA OVR4-22 and the BPD80350E – BPS highly reliable DrMOS. These products provide an efficient, flexible and reliable power system management solution for applications such as AI servers, graphics cards, laptops and high-performance computing requirements.”

Driven by the growing demands of artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC), power management systems are playing an increasing important role in modern electronic systems. BPS has launched a series of high-performance power management products, including the 16 phases dual-rail digital PWM controller (BPD93136), the 4-phase PWMVID digital controller (BPD93204) and smart integrated DrMOS (BPD80350E), which are designed to meet the requirements of NIVIDIA OpenVReg power specifications (OVR16 and OVR4-22). These latest offerings significantly improve the efficiency, stability and design flexibility of the power system with multiple functions.

16 Phase Digital PWM Controller - BPD93136

The BPD93136 is an up to 16 phases multi-phase buck digital controller, designed for 2-rail applications, specifically in compliance with NVIDIA OVR-16 Power. The part supports PWMVID interface for NVIDIA processors and is compatible for PMBus Rev 1.3 with AVSBus for output control and telemetry.

· Highly Integrated and Flexible: Supports DrMOS-IMON/DCR/LS Ron Current Sense and features an easy-to-use multi-config (MCFG) function, which offers pin-level configurations to expand the digital IC’s application coverage without requiring register code changes.

· Comprehensive Protection: Supports smart temperature sensing, programmable UVLO/OCP/OVP/UVP/OTP/VINOV/OVW/VRHOT/DrMOS fault protection, ensuring the safe operation of the system

· Compact Package: 7mm x 7mm QFN Package for high-density power supply designs

4 Phase Digital PWM Controller – BPD93204

The BPD93204 is a 4 phase multi-phase buck digital controller designed in compliance with NVIDIA OVR4-22. It supports PWMVID interface for NVIDIA processors and is compatible for PMBus Rev 1.3 with AVSBus for output control and telemetry.

16V/50A Integrated Smart Power Stage – BPD80350E

The BPD80350E smart power stage fully integrates high speed drivers and low resistance half-bridge power switches. It supports up to 1.5MHz high frequency operation and offers comprehensive thermal monitoring and protection circuitry in an electrically and thermally optimized package.

· High Frequency Operation: Zero-crossing Detection (ZCD) Control and parasitic optimized package technology achieves high switching frequency operation, enabling higher efficiency performance

· Comprehensive Protection: Including over-temperature protection, cycle-by-cycle over-current protection and high-side MOSFET short protection, promising system operation safety

· Flexible Configuration: Supports Fault Indication Output (FLT) and Pin Programable Over-Current Limit (CLM)

02 Applications

The BPD80350E is suitable for High-Frequency, High-Current and Low-Profile DC/DC Converters and Multiphase Voltage Regulators for CPUs, GPUs and Memory Arrays.

BPD93136 Technical Features

· In compliance with NVIDIA OpenVReg 16 specification with PWMVID interface

· Supports up to 16 phases dual rail multi-phase controller, which can be flexibly configured as X+(16-X)

· Supports PWMVID/PMBUS/AVSBUS

· Built-in NVM Configuration, enabling multiple sets of file configurations

· DrMOS-IMON/DCR/LS Ron Current Sense with power MOS in different modes

· Pin-programmable MCFG Function for Easy Register Code Management

· Switching Frequency: 250kHz to 2MHz

· Interleaving+/TLVR/Phase Double, Interleaving mode can effectively reduce input ripple and supports the use of TLVR inductors and the phase double function.

· Constant Frequency Lock Technology improves the stability of output voltage

· SSC (Spread Spectrum Clock) function, which has a significant effect on EMI suppression

· Fast transient response, which can meet the requirement of large current changes, effectively reducing output capacitors and increasing power supply design density

· Digital current balance gain can quickly adjust current balance through a DCR detection resistor, reducing peripheral BOM costs

· Auto tune loop compensation keeps the system in a stable operating state under various conditions

· Smart temperature sensing can detect real-time temperature and displaying it through GUI interface

· BP star GUI user interface, a user - friendly interface that is easy to use, can be used to detect operating status and optimize performance, and can be updated online

· Differential remote sensing, combined with differential remote sensing mode, and the digital PWMVID can achieve regulation with 0.5% accuracy

· Programmable load line

· Programmable UVLO/OCP/OVP/UVP/OTP/VINOV/OCW/VRHOT/DrMOS Fault protection, Multiple types of protection measures safeguard the system

· 7mm x 7mm QFN package
