Introduction
We all know that the maximum power output limit of chargers and cables that support the PD 3.0 fast-charging protocol is 100W, which is no longer sufficient to meet the demands of today's fast-paced world. The USB Implementers Forum's release of the USB PD3.1 fast-charging standard document clearly states that the output power of the PD3.1 protocol can reach up to 240W.
As a leading player in the electronics industry, Apple's 16-inch MacBook Pro 2021 comes standard with a PD3.1 GaN charger. Other manufacturers have followed suit by releasing their own GaN chargers that support PD3.1 fast charging or cables that support it. Today, ChargerLAB has compiled a list of some chargers that have already been tested or highly praised for supporting PD3.1 fast charging to help you find the perfect fit for your needs.
PD Fast Charging
The new PD3.1 standard introduced by the USB-IF specifies that the physical interface is still the universal USB-C port, with three additional voltage expansions of 28V, 36V, and 48V added on top of PD 3.0. It should be noted that the PD charging protocol only supports dual USB-C cables.
Currently, the majority of laptops that charge through USB-C ports support PD 3.0 charging protocol, but with the release of PD3.1, which can support up to 48V 5A 240W charging power, we are seeing manufacturers adopt the newer standard in their latest models. Furthermore, the USB PD3.1 specification includes two specifications: Standard Power Range (SPR) and Extended Power Range (EPR).

In this article, we will list several 140W PD3.1 chargers that we have either tested ourselves or that have been highly recommended by others.
MOMAX
The MOMAX 140W GaN Power Adapter features the MOMAX logo and "GaN" label on its front panel, making it easily recognizable as a gallium nitride charger.
With two USB-C and one USB-A outputs, the charger supports automatic power distribution and fast charging capabilities, with USB-C1 supporting up to 28V5A 140W fast charging and USB-C2 supporting up to 100W fast charging.

The main color of Shargeek 140W PD3.1 GaN Charger is orange-red. It adopts a square shape design with sharp edges and corners. It is also equipped with three USB ports, which is highly recognizable.

The UGREEN 140W GaN Charger adopts a gray-green metal paint design, which does not leave fingerprints on the surface and reflects different colors under different lighting, giving it a high-tech feel. The sides are printed with "UGREEN" and "140W".
There are two USB-C ports and one USB-A port on the side, with white lines surrounding the USB-C ports indicating the charging equipment with small icons and indicating the maximum charging power. The plastic sheet of the USB-A port is purple, and the internal pins on both sides are extended.

The Anker 140W PD3.1 USB-C GaN Charger has a premium feel and is scratch-resistant with its aviation-grade paint. It also has a smooth and comfortable touch. The plug is foldable for easy portability, and the silver "ANKER" word in metallic paint is clearly visible on the front.
The output has a single USB-C port and a silver decorative panel, with the classic blue plastic sheet that Anker is known for.

The Apple 140W USB-C GaN Charger, model A2452, features the classic and iconic design of Apple's family with a rectangular shape, changing from the previous generation's square shape. With replaceable plugs located at the input end, it is incredibly handy for individuals who travel between various countries.
Featuring only one USB-C port and utilizing a white plastic sheet, this charger supports fast charging with a 28V5A PD3.1 output.

Baseus
The Baseus 140W PD3.1 GaN 5 Pro Fast Charger adopts the classic design of the Baseus family, with a matte panel as its primary texture, while its upper and lower edges feature shiny surfaces to create a contrasting color scheme and prevent the charger from appearing dull. The front of the charger has the words "140W GaN" imprinted upon it, providing an intuitive label and indication that it's a 140W gallium nitride charger.
On the output end, there are two USB-C ports and one USB-A port, which adds up to three USB ports. All three ports use orange-red plastic sheets, with corresponding markings engraved beside each port to allow for easy identification.

AOHi
The AOHi 140W GaN 3-Port Charger is constructed with a black and yellow color scheme, utilizing fire retardant PC to produce its panel. Each panel features a raised frame and a large curved edge, providing a smooth transition between surfaces. The output panel is entirely black in color.
This charger consists of two USB-C ports and one USB-A port on its output panel, which results in a total of three USB ports. The left edge of the charger is imprinted with the words "PD" and "USB". The plastic sheet of each port is yellow, maintaining consistency in color with the charger.

Summary of ChargerLAB
The above list includes a total of nine chargers that support the PD3.1 fast charging standard. Generally speaking, the PD3.1 specification increases the power upper limit that PD3.0 has sustained, enabling it to charge gaming laptops. However, although the chargers support the PD3.1 charging protocol, the main device and its cables must also support the PD3.1 charging specification to attain the 140W charging power of the newest standard.
