Innoscience GaN Transistors Are Adopted by Mophie Chargers on Apple Store

Apple has recently released two mophie GaN chargers, the Speedport 30 and Speedport 67, with outputs of 30W and 67W, respectively. Both chargers are designed with a single USB-C port and both come with a 2m USB-C to USB-C cable.

ChargerLAB has learned that both mophie Speedport 30 and Speedport 67 GaN chargers adopt the Innoscience GaN power components. The Speedport 30 is built with Innoscience INN650DA04, and Speedport 67 is built with Innoscience INN650D02. Then, let's have a detailed look at the two GaN transistors.

The Innoscience INN650DA04 has a withstand voltage of 650V, resistor of 480Ω (max) and package of DFN5*6mm, featuring high switch frequency and high efficiency, low loss, and fast heat dissipation, with a small size but high efficiency.

The Innoscience INN650D02 has a withstand voltage of 650V, resistor of 200Ω and package of DFN8*8mm, featuring ultra high switching frequency, no reverse-recovery charge, low gate charge and low output charge, etc.

It is reported that the Innoscience INN650D02 has been upgraded to the INN650D260A with a rated withstand voltage of 650V, peak withstand voltage up to 750V and resistor of 260mΩ. It is qualified for industrial applications according to JEDEC Standards and supports ESD safeguard.

The Innoscience INN650DA04, INN650D02, and INN650D260A are in the DFN package, which supports faster switching speed and higher operating frequency while occupying a very small area compared to the traditional TO220 package. It is conducive to high power density fast charging.
