Introduction of Shenzhen Qitian Taiyi technology Co., Ltd (Taiyi tech)  

Company Profile

Shenzhen Qitian Taiyi technology Co., Ltd.( Taiyi tech ) is the first company in the world that invented the decoupled wireless charger technology (DWC ). The real-EMC certified MagSafe-like wireless charger comes with dedicated magnets which increases its total performance such as lower temperature and faster charging speed with no noise.

Mr. Yitao Xing is the leader of the research team that invented this new technology. He has 8 years' experience in research, development and marketing of the DWC.

Co-operated with Shenzhen Mars Creative Technology Co., Ltd. (Mars Creative), whose founder Mr. Mars was a product manager of Anker wireless charger and Sunvalley Ravpower, Taiyi tech provides a series of MagSafe-like charger turnkey solutions, in order to enable mass production of this new technology by simplifying the product design, shortening the product development cycle, and reducing development and production costs.

Not only can the solution be used for our daily usage such as Pad、Stand、Station、Car Moun and DIY, but it also fits in many other scenarios such as industrial needs.

The most significant feature of the DWC is that it separates the PCBA(short for printed circuit board assemblyPrinted Circuit Board Assembly) and coil module of a wireless charger with a dedicated cable. Thus the thermal interference and EMI issues introduced by wireless charging process are greatly reduced.

Introduction of Yitao Xing

1. Education: Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Electronic Communication, Harbin Institute of Technology

Mr. Xing, Yitao started his research work in wireless charging technology in 2005.  He developed a mature production cycle of the DWC technology, including research and development, mass production and commercialization, in 2013.

Mr. Xing is also the inventor of the first and second generation DWC.  

The research and development of the first generation of the DWC started in 2013. A patent application was submitted in early 2014 and the patent was granted in 2017. However, due to serious EMI problems in mass production, the product failed the test of CE, FCC and other certifications.

The second-generation of the DWC get 100% positive feedback, and another patent was granted in early 2019. Compared with the first-generation, the second-generation of the DWC overcame the EMI issues and was soon productized.  

Details of turn-key modules

PCBA

Lingyii Tech, PYS and other partners are authorized by Taiyi tech to produce dedicated PCBAs. Two representative products are listed below.

1, Type-C mini type (model S10WC): Supports PD/QC/AFC protocol, and there are two versions of output powers: 10W and 15W.

2, USB-A type (model S10WP): Works with QC/AFC or 5V2A power source, which could provide fast charge for both Apple and Samsung products. Marked within the blue frame is the boost circuit, while the wireless charging circuit is marked inside the yellow frame. It could reduce ( or even eliminate )the cost of fast charging wall charger.

It can be told from the pictures above that the USB-A and Type-C PCBAs benefit from the dedicated design brought by the DWC tech, which enables the DC fast charging protocol, a full-bridge driver, fast wireless charging and QI decoding, etc.. The integration is very efficient that its dimension is equal to a coin.

The chipset, resistor, capacitor, and inductor of the PCBAs can be assembled by automated SMT technology, thanks to the elegant design empowered by the DWC tech, thus improving productivity and quality. Meanwhile, the small size can also effectively save shipping cost.s

Cable modules

Taiyi tech authorizes Yingtong, PYS and other partners to produce dedicated cable modules with PCBA embedded at the USB end.

Customers can choose suitable cables according to their needs.

There are three main cable modules and the OD of the standard cable is 2.5~2.6mm, which is the same as the one used by MagSafe. The length can be selected from 1m to 1.5m, and the maximum length is 3m with customization:

1. Type-C cable module (model: PS10UC): 1:1 with MagSafe male connector, with 10W basic model and 15W enhanced model.

After testing, when powered by a Apple's 20W wall charger to charge iPhone 12, iPhone 11, and Samsung Galaxy phones, the housing of Type-C cable module has a maximum temperature rise of <20°C and a minimum temperature rise of only 12°C.

2. USB-A type cable module (model: PS10UA): the housing is made with enhanced heat dissipation to suppress the raise of temperature caused by DC/DC boost circuit and wireless charging circuit.

3、 Car charger cable module (model: PS10CAR): the wireless charging circuit is embedded into a car charger, with two outlets: a specially made charging cable and a customizable USB port.

This cable module reduces the production cost of automotive vendors and also reduces complaints rate from consumer.

Magnet coil assembly and standard plastic casing parts

Taiyi tech cooperated with authorized suppliers such as DMEGC, Jinkun, Defelis, and Pan Asia to design and supply magnet coil components, enabling both adsorption and compatibility.

The car version DWC uses a N52H 120℃ high temperature magnet, which is able to survive the harshest environment without demagnetization.

The standard plastic casing material is provided by PYS and other partners. The size after assembly is the same as the MagSafe wireless charger, which is φ55.8*5.2mm. After testing, the magnet assembly can be packed into a standard plastic casing, which meets Apple's 650-900gf suction test standard for MagSafe accessories.

Taiyi Intellectual Property

Taiyi tech has filed patent application for its decoupled wireless charging technology in many countries and regions around the world. In addition, a domestic patent certificate has been granted to Taiyi tech for the DWC technology by P.R.China in 2019.

Xing Yitao's original wireless fully decoupled design concept has already been on the market since 2014, much earlier than the time when Apple’s MagSafe magnetic wireless charger was on the market.

1. Wireless chargers with the second-generation 'EMC decoupled' wireless charging architecture patented technology complies with CE/FCC and other certifications. 

So far, there is no other patented technology to solve the EMI problems other than the DWC tech .

Patent number: 2019200875124 (utility model) and 2019100505649 (invention).

Technical effect: The decoupled wireless charger is fully compliant with CE/FCC and other certifications. Compared with the first generation of decoupled wireless charging architecture invented in 2014, the electrical noise is reduced by 20~30dB. The figure below exhibits the test result with the same USB power supply, PCBA, cable, coil set, and RX module, but with two different generations of decoupled architecture wireless charger technology.

2. Loose surround magnetic wireless charging technology designed for compatibility.

Patent number: 2020203872188 (utility model) and 2020102148047 (invention)

Technical effect: Compatible with iPhone12 and other Qi wireless charging mobile phones for magnetic low-temperature wireless fast charging, while MagSafe's technology can only perform wireless fast charging for iPhone12.

For example, If Apple's MagSafe perform fast wireless charging, there will be a risk of serious heating of the old iPhones.

Advantages of Taiyi tech magnetic wireless charging technology

1. Standardization and easy production.

Only need to weld 3 solder joints, and then use the glue dispensing process to fix the back cover die cut out by knife mold to complete the assembly. The optimization of the structural design greatly increases the mass production capacity, and helps customers quickly seize the market.

When in the old development process of magnetic wireless chargers, the final product launch requires multiple suppliers for multiple parts, such as magnets, coils, magnetic spacers, cables, etc.

Now Taiyi tech builds a magnetic wireless charger ecosystem with modulized core components thus greatly simplifies the launch of final products. Accurate positioning of the core modules and the casing improves the consistency of product performance. Negotiation time and cost are also greatlyreduced by the one-stop package service.

2. The DWC product is advantage in terms of diversity, expansibility and extensibility.

The fastest style switch: change the front non-slip mat (pictures: gray silicone, LOGO silicone, epoxy photos, wood grain, CD grain, etc.).

The fastest function upgrade: change the rear housing (picture: plane, bracket, etc.).

Support one-to-multiple charging: The cable assembly supports low-power DC output, and after voltage regulation, it can also supply power to other devices, such as watches, earphones, and mobile game fans.

3. Fast charging and increased safety brought by low temperature.

The decoupled architecture implies that the heat source can be far away from the mobile phone being charged, so the mobile phone can stay at a low temperature while high-speed charging for a long time,This technology can charge iPhone 12 faster than MagSafe.

Moreover, the decoupled architecture can reduce the temperature of the charging area held by human hands by 60~70% comparing to MagSafe, enhancing user experience.

Another significant advantage of the decoupled architecture is that the low temperature charging can eliminate the risk of serious overheating damaging electronic devices.

4. Excellent compatibility

In addition to providing low-temperature high-speed wireless charging for iPhone12, it can also provide low-temperature high-speed wireless charging for old iPhones and Samsung Galaxy series phones.

5. Silence charging

Thanks to the decoupled nature of the circuit and the coil parts, only 15~17 dB noise is generated under fast charging.

6. Smaller size than MagSafe, or even only a half-size

The decoupled wireless charging technology designed by Taiyi tech allows the size of the wireless charger to be decreased beyond φ55.8*2.6mm, whose thickness is only a half of MagSafe, providing even better user and carrying experience.

Authorized partners

Taiyi tech has a very strict criteria to choose EMS partners. After careful review and intensive screening, Lingyizhi, and PYS etc. have been authorized by Taiyi tech.

The chairman of PYS High-Tech Co., Ltd claimed that as the core strategy to build up an ecological chain, Taiyi tech will cooperate with its partners to develop more products based on DWC tech, which will bring consumers a better experience and convenience.

Taiyi tech and PYS jointly developed a variety of wireless chargers including DWC with a size identical to MagSafe.

PYS cooperated with Taiyi tech to launch these Magsafe-sized products, which can be fast customized and cost-effectively far better than peers.

Several schematic diagrams are listed below, such as Standard magnetic wireless charging, magnetic wireless charging with vertical stand, heat dissipation magnetic wireless charging, car magnetic wireless charging, magnetic wireless power juice, etc., covering users from their house to car, then to office, forming a full-scenario application.

2、Super-slim magnetic wireless charging with fan: A built-in silent fan, ensures that the phone stays at a low temperature with fast charging, and thus phone brightness does not decrease due to the raising temperature.
