UFCS is a next-generation unified fast-charging protocol led by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), Huawei, OPPO, vivo, and Xiaomi, with the participation of many terminal, chip, and industry partners. It aims to address the current complexity and incompatibility of fast charging standards in the market and has a positive impact on global energy conservation, carbon reduction, and sustainable development.
Since the release of the UFCS unified fast charging standard, two batches of certification certificates were issued at the first mobile terminal unified fast charging product launch event in September 2022 and the first TC626 General Assembly in April 2023. At the second TC626 General Assembly on December 12, 2023, the Fast Charging Industry Association awarded the first product licenses with the UFCS trademark. This has spurred the addition of more certified products, with the latest data showing that the number of UFCS-certified adapters has reached 76.
Data shows that currently, 16 brands and manufacturers have passed UFCS certification. Among them, vivo has seventeen products; HUAWEI has fourteen products; Anker has eleven products; TenPao has five products; LUXSHAREICT, BULL, and AOHI each have four products; OPPO and CUKTECH each have three products; Salcomp, MI, Huntkey, and Baseus each have two products; YOHOO, HONOR, and CHENYANGELEC each have one product.
The FCA has always been committed to gathering the strength of the fast-charging industry, integrating terminal charging technology standards, establishing a unified fast-charging standard system, and promoting the integration and unification of charging protocols and technologies to provide consumers with a better charging experience.
In the future, with the continuous promotion of UFCS unified fast charging technology, its implementation in product applications will enter an accelerated phase. More and more companies and products will join the UFCS fast-charging family. This will be of great significance in building an industry chain community of shared interests, promoting the development of the unified fast-charging industry ecosystem, and enhancing the user experience.
