In recent years, the frequency of camping has increased year by year, and the demand for outdoor portable power station has also increased. Having a longer battery life often means heavier weight. Runhood Innovation Co., Ltd. has adopted a modular design for this problem, which completely solves the user's pain point.

The modular design portable power station achieves both excellent battery life and portability. While solving the anxiety of battery life, it can also be configured with different specifications of battery modules according to the needs, which is very flexible.

RUNHOOD launched a new modular portable power station: the portable power station RALLYE 600. Unlike the traditional ones, it adopts the design of two plug-in battery modules, which can be very convenient for battery replacement operation and significantly prolong the device's battery life. Thanks to its strong technical background, RUNHOOD has successfully miniaturized this industrial-grade energy storage technology and applied it to portable power stations.

Now, let's take a look at the product.

Modular Energy Bar Design to Ensure Battery Life

The portable power station RALLYE 600 adopts a split design of the energy storage module and the host module. The host has two battery module compartments. After inserting two energy block battery modules, the total power of the host is 648Wh. Put your finger into the side opening to unlock the buckle, and you can pop out two energy bars. The power of the host comes from these two modular batteries. The power of a single energy bar is 324Wh, made of nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) cells into a battery pack, with a battery life circle up to 1,000 times.

It can be equipped with multiple energy bars of modular design in case of running out of battery. When that happens, the host can charge it independently. When the host supplies power to the electrical device, the excess energy bar can also be ready anytime.

In addition, consumers can also choose different power configurations to travel according to their needs. They can bring multiple energy bars for extended battery life while only the host or an energy bar for light use. In addition, if you need more of it, you can also purchase it later instead of buying multiple at a time.

Powerful Host Module

The overall appearance of the host module adopts a rounded design with a yellow shell and a gray panel. It has two AC output ports, four independent USB PD outputs(up to 100W), a 12V10A cigarette lighter port, and two DC 5521 ports that support 12V5A DC output. As for the input port, it is DC 6530, which supports 24V DC input. The upper position is an LED flashlight with an integrated multi-function information display.

The rated output power of the AC socket is 600W, the peak output power is 1200W, and the output waveform is a sine wave. The performance can meet the needs of ordinary users. It is suitable for outdoor camping, power failure emergency, and outdoor charging.

The four USB fast charging ports are as follows:

  • USB-C1 supports 100W PD Bidirectional fast charging.
  • USB-C2 supports 100W PD fast charging output.
  • USB-A1/A2 supports 28W QC3.0 fast charging output.

Regarding recharging, it supports 180W power adapter DC charging, 100W USB-C PD charging, 120W car power adapter charging, and 15-23V10A solar panel charging. The key point is that it supports DC + USB-C PD charging simultaneously.

AC/DC Converters & Energy Bars

The modular battery can be combined with the matching modular accessories and used alone. After connecting the energy bar with the AC converter, the energy bar is transformed into a mini portable power station. Its DC power is converted into 110V AC output, the output power is 80W, and the waveform is a sine wave, suitable for electronic products with a non-universal port and non-intelligent small appliances.

In addition to the AC inverter module, there is a more compact DC converter, which is equipped with two USB-C and two USB-A ports. USB-C1 supports 100W bidirectional fast charging; USB-C2 only supports 100W PD fast charging output. USB-A1 / A2 supports QC3.0 28W output. The DC converter can fast charge four devices at the same time and supports up to 256W total output power.

Summary of ChargerLAB

The portable power station RALLYE 600 adopts a rare modular design. Users can flexibly combine different mudules into power bank / power station according to their own needs while meeting the requirements of performance, portability, and personalization.

This design solves the pain point of users' anxiety about battery life thanks to the battery module while maintaining its lightweight characteristics. The unique charging method enables the battery module to be charged independently without affecting the use of the host module.
