Introduction
In April this year, OPPO launched its annual imaging flagship, the OPPO Find X8 Ultra. It comes equipped with an industry-leading 6100mAh ultra-large Silicon-carbon Battery and adopts a unique dual-cell design. In terms of charging, it not only supports 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging, but is also compatible with UFCS, PPS, PD and other protocols. So how does it actually perform in charging compatibility, and can it reach the level of a flagship? In this review, we will reveal the answer.

Charging Protocols Supported by the Phone
First, let’s take a look at whether the OPPO Find X8 Ultra supports more universal fast-charging protocols such as PD, PPS, and UFCS.

Using the Apple 140W charger for testing, the ChargerLAB POWER-Z KM003C detected that the triggered protocol was PD.

Next, with the HuntKey 100W charger, judging from the voltage and current, the triggered protocol was PPS.

Finally, using the HUAWEI 140W charger, the test showed that the phone supports the UFCS fast-charging protocol.
Charging Protocols Supported by the Charger

The included OPPO 100W charger, model VCBAOBCH, comes with a USB-A port.
Input 1: 100-130V~50/60Hz 2.5A;
Output 1:5V-2A or 5-11V-7.3A MAX(80W MAX);
Input 2: 200-240V~50/60Hz 2.5A;
Output 2:5V-2A or 5-11V-91A MAX(100W MAX)

In terms of protocols, it supports UFCS, QC3.0, SVOOC, VOOC, and DCP fast-charging protocols.

It also has two sets of UFCS fast-charging profiles: 3.6-5V/4A, 5-11V/4A, and two proprietary SVOOC fast-charging profiles: 3.6-5V/6A, 5-11V/9.1A.
Charging Compatibility Test
Original Chargers

First, using the original 100W charger to charge the OPPO Find X8 Ultra, the actual measured power was 8.77V 9.19A 80.58W.

Testing OPPO’s own chargers one by one, all paired with the original cable, the actual charging power of the phone could reach up to around 80W.

Plotting the charging data into a bar chart, we can see that the highest power came from the included OPPO 100W charger at 80.53W, followed closely by the OnePlus 100W charger. From the chart, it is clear that the phone has excellent compatibility with original-brand chargers, as all tested chargers achieved fast-charging power.
Third-party Chargers
After looking at the compatibility data with original chargers, let’s see how this phone performs with third-party chargers. For this test, we selected over one hundred chargers, with the detailed results as follows.

Using the Jackery 102W charger, the measured charging power for the phone was 8.58V 4.96A 42.53W.

Summarizing the compatibility test data of third-party chargers paired with the original cable, the results were very stable. Charging generally triggered the 9V voltage level, with only a few special chargers triggering the 5V level. The charging current ranged between 2-5A, and overall power was stable.

Plotting the charging data into a bar chart, the highest power in this test came from the HuntKey 100W charger at 43.2W, followed by the HuntKey 240W charger at 42.76W. Both triggered the 5A PPS protocol, and chargers that triggered this protocol all reached above 40W charging power. Chargers in the 20-40W range triggered the 2-3A PPS protocol, while those around 17W triggered the PD protocol.
Power Banks

The CUKTECH P Series 10000mAh 150W power bank charged the OPPO Find X8 Ultra with a measured charging power of 8.60V 4.92A 42.31W.

Summarizing the data into a table, it can be seen that the compatibility of power banks did not differ much from third-party chargers, still mostly triggering the 9V voltage level with currents around 1-5A.

Plotting the test data into a chart, the results were very similar to third-party chargers. Among them, the CUKTECH NO.15 Ultra power bank delivered an output power of around 43W. The actual triggered charging protocols were consistent with those of third-party chargers, supporting PD, PPS, UFCS, and QC.
Summary of ChargerLAB
In the original charger tests, the included OPPO 100W charger performed impressively, with actual power reaching 80.58W. Chargers across different power levels from OPPO’s lineup could all provide around 80W of fast-charging power, showing excellent compatibility.
As for third-party chargers, although the power output was not as high as the original ones, the overall performance was stable. Most could trigger the 9V voltage level with currents between 2-5A, and chargers supporting the 5A PPS protocol could reach above 40W, which is more than sufficient for daily fast charging. The compatibility of power banks showed little difference from that of third-party chargers, and the supported charging protocols were basically the same.
The OPPO Find X8 Ultra successfully passed the ChargerLAB Compatibility 100 Test. Below is the compatibility 100 test report issued by us.
